My name is Barialai Khoshhal. I was born in Kandahar. I am studying Economics and works as a freelance documentary and spot news photographer. I am passionate about photography and hopes to one day work with National Geographic and publish my work on the front page of the magazine. I have participated in numerous photo exhibitions and competitions across the country winning the photo competition, Kabul Photo Biennale, in 2017 which was held by the UNESCO. In the same year, I also attended a long-term photography course at the US Embassy in Kabul. I love photography and traveling.
Photography is my passion it can communicates across the languages and cultures. I think a single photo can speak a thousands unsaid words. I feel very connected to the people I photograph. that’s why I am interested in social documentaries and portraits.
